Meet The Barr Family

Meet the Barrs.  Guy and Loura have one son, Guy Barr, III, who lives with his family in Marshall, TX.

They recently purchased a home with the help of Realtors Barbara Thomas and Thad Schaeffer. The Barrs wanted a new home because they are now retired and were ready to downsize. They moved to the area 32 years ago, and have spent the last 28 in the home they just sold. The Barrs met Barbara and Thad through mutual friends.

The Barr‘s main need was a one story home, with less yard to keep up and low maintenance overall. They found that and more when they signed a deal on their new home. The new space has lots of modern features, is low maintenance, and is convenient to everything. The things they most like about their new home are the location, size, and appealing appearance.

The Barrs found using a realtor was beneficial because they had someone to walk them through the paperwork, legal aspects, inspections and appraisals, making the whole process of moving much easier. Working with Barbara and Thad was wonderful because of their reputation, professionalism, and consideration for others.

The Barrs have already enjoyed walks and bike rides in the new neighborhood, meeting new and old friends. They love relaxing in the courtyard, and plan to start having cookouts on the backyard grill very soon. Moving did not take the Barrs away from the many community activities they enjoy. They plan to stay involved in their church committees, bible studies, and community boards, including Family Promise of Ouachita, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, ULM, P.E.O., and Monroe Garden Club. They’re also presently riding their bikes in an effort to help provide safe bike paths around the city.

“After 49 years of marriage and many moves, this was probably the smoothest due to the agents at John Rea Realty.” The Barrs

Yay for John Rea!
