Hot Dog!!!

HOT DOG!!!  This dog really looks HOT!!!  But….that’s not the kind of hot dog that I am blogging about!  We recently had a birthday celebration in our office and we had barbecued hot dogs… with this recipe you can serve a large group quickly and easily!  I like those two words!   Serve these hot dogs and your puppies will be ‘howling’ for more!

Serves 20-25 people (Only if they eat just one! Probably should at least double the recipe!)

1 small onion (finely chopped/processed)

6 Tablespoons of cider vinegar

3 Tablespoons of flour

4-5 Tablespoons of worchestershire sauce

1 teaspoon salt

3 pinches red pepper

1 Tablespoon paprika

3/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 Tablespoon chili powder

1.5 cup ketchup

1 Tablespoon mustard

2 Tablespoons brown sugar

6 Tablespoons hot water

20-25 hot dogs

Blend vinegar and flour.   Add onion, seasonings and rest of ingredients.

Pierce hot dogs with fork several times.  Place in a well greased roaster. Pour sauce over (can be done the day before) Bake uncovered for 1 hour at 350 degrees.  Serve on buns.

Let the ‘howling’ begin!!!
