You Lucky Dog!

As I was on my way to my office at John Rea Realty the other day, I caught a glimpse of a truck with a picture of a loveable looking dog with long floppy ears, big brown eyes and a happy puppy smile!  But there was a ‘message’ along with those floppy ears and big brown eyes!  The gist of the message was:  if you buy from us, you’ll ALWAYS be a ‘lucky dog’!  Now, who doesn’t want to be a ‘lucky dog’?!!!

The word ‘luck’ is tossed around freely today…bad luck…good luck…rotten luck…luck of the draw…wish me luck…lady luck…beginner’s luck…out of luck…best of luck…pot luck…you lucky dog…well…you get the picture.

When it comes to buying and selling a home, do you want to depend on ‘luck’?!  Pot luck is defined as a situation in which one must take a chance that whatever is available will prove to be good or acceptable. Buying or selling a home is not about ‘pot luck’, it’s about knowledge, service, professionalism and availability. The sale or purchase of a home is often the largest single transaction that most people make in their entire lives.  You want to get it right!

Luck is defined In Webster’s as the seemingly chance happening of events which affect one.  There are some things we just don’t want to leave to ‘chance’.

A successful realtor will have a good working knowledge of the market and will put that knowledge to work for you.  You want your realtor to pay attention to you and to your transaction.  Whether you are a buyer or a seller, a proactive realtor is a realtor who will bring your transaction to an ending that is satisfying to you.  Being proactive takes time. Is your realtor full-time?  Now, that’s a good question to have an answer to!  You want a realtor who is actively engaged in the real estate market.  A full time realtor will be knowledgeable about the market. As a successful and experienced real estate professional, I spend many hours researching the market.  Being successful in the real estate market requires time!

Your realtor should be a ‘listener’.  One thing we like about our dogs is that they listen and pay attention to us! You want a realtor who is a good listener…she actually ‘hears’ what you are saying.  Communication is a key to a successful relationship and a successful transaction.  There are many ways to communicate in this day and time…we are wise to make use of all the technology available to us… BUT, there is no substitute for a one on one conversation with the realtor who is representing you in your transaction!

Real Estate is a service driven industry.  Let the real estate professionals at John Rea Realty put our knowledge to work for you. We offer excellent service to our clients. You’re a ‘lucky dog’ if you have a dog that will bring the paper to your doorstep or fetch your slippers… that’s a nice ‘perk’. Professional service from a knowledgeable realtor should not be a ‘perk’ but a ‘given’. YOU DESERVE THE BEST!!!  At John Rea Realty, it’s not about ‘luck’! We are available to serve you!

If I can be of service to you, please call Barbara Rea Thomas, 318-355-5551 (cell phone).
